Questions about True Resonance

How it works, what to expect, and what you control.

Getting started

What is True Resonance, and how is it different from other dating apps?

True Resonance is an AI matchmaking service that helps you meet people through a deeper understanding of who you are and what you want. Instead of relying only on profile tags or filters, you can describe your experiences, needs, and preferences in your own words. That understanding helps shape personalized match strategies and introductions.

How does the AI matchmaker get to know me?

Resona, the AI matchmaker within True Resonance, gets to know you through natural conversation. What you share helps build an evolving understanding of your values, needs, lifestyle, and relationship preferences. You can explore that understanding in the app and clarify or correct it as you go. It is a working interpretation, not a fixed assessment of who you are.

Can I try it without signing up?

Yes. You can start a short conversation with Resona before creating an account. When you are ready to continue, create an account to keep your conversation and explore your understanding and personalized Match Strategy. You will also complete a few essential profile details.

Try a conversation
What kinds of relationships does True Resonance support?

You can describe goals such as a long-term relationship, a life partner, casual dating, friendship, or simply exploring what feels right. You can also express preferences for monogamy or consensual non-monogamy, including open relationships. These intentions help inform your profile and matching; available introductions depend on the people participating and their compatible goals.

Is True Resonance free?

True Resonance offers a Free plan and optional paid subscriptions. You can try the guest conversation without signing up. Plan features, usage allowances, and prices are shown in the app before you subscribe and may vary by platform or region. A paid plan does not guarantee a match or relationship.

Understanding you

How specific can I be about who I want to meet?

Go beyond a list of traits. You might want someone who enjoys their own space, but still makes you feel close. Explain what that means in everyday life: how you spend time together, communicate, or support each other. True Resonance can use that context to distinguish a preference from a need or a dealbreaker.

What is a personalized Match Strategy?

Your Match Strategy explains the qualities, needs, and compatibility factors True Resonance is considering when looking for potential matches. It develops from what you share, alongside your Understanding page. With limited information, these pages may contain only a few insights; further conversation can add context and refine the strategy.

Can Resona understand complex or conflicting relationship needs?

You can describe needs that do not fit neatly into a checkbox, including ones that seem to pull in different directions. For example, you may value independence and also need consistent reassurance. Resona can explore the context and help clarify how those needs fit together. Its interpretation can be incomplete, so you can correct it.

What if I don’t know exactly what I’m looking for?

You do not need a finished list of preferences to begin. Start with an experience, something you enjoyed in a relationship, or something you want to feel differently next time. Conversation with Resona can help you explore what matters to you without requiring you to settle on an answer immediately.

Can I change my preferences, and will my matches evolve over time?

Yes. You can tell Resona when your preferences or circumstances change and edit available profile fields. Your understanding and match strategy can evolve with that information. More useful context may help refine future recommendations, but does not guarantee better matches or change who is currently available.

Does physical attraction matter in the matching process?

Attraction is part of compatibility, and you can discuss the qualities you are drawn to with Resona. True Resonance considers more than appearance, including relationship goals, needs, and ways of connecting. You can review a potential match’s photos and profile and decide for yourself whether to connect; AI cannot guarantee personal chemistry.

Matching and introductions

How does matchmaking work, and when will I receive introductions?

True Resonance uses the information you and other participants share to consider compatibility, including relationship intentions, preferences, needs, and potential differences. Introductions depend on profile readiness, available participants, and the matching schedule shown in your app. If you join an early-access matching group, introductions may open on a scheduled Matching Day. There is no guaranteed number of introductions or fixed waiting time for every user.

Can I match with people outside my city?

Tell Resona whether you are open to long-distance relationships, travel, or relocation. That context can inform your preferences, but it does not automatically expand an early-access matching group. Available introductions depend on the group and regions currently supported; sharing a location preference is not a promise of worldwide matching.

What happens if there aren’t any compatible people nearby?

You may not receive introductions until suitable participants are available. You can keep refining your profile and tell Resona if you are genuinely open to other locations. The size of the participating community and any early-access schedule can affect availability; you do not need to change an important boundary just to receive more introductions.

Can I choose who to connect with or decline an introduction?

Yes. An introduction is a suggestion, not a commitment. You can review the person’s profile and compatibility information, choose whether to send an invitation, or dismiss the recommendation. You can accept or decline invitations you receive. A connection requires mutual agreement.

Do I have to keep talking to Resona to receive introductions?

You do not need to chat continuously. Your account does need enough information for matching, along with the required profile details and photos. If there is not enough context yet, the app may prompt you to share more. Once you are ready, introduction availability still depends on the matching schedule and compatible participants.

Privacy and control

Are my conversations with Resona private?

Your private conversations with Resona are not displayed to other users. They are processed to provide conversation, understanding, and matching features, including through third-party AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy. Your public profile is separate from your private conversation history.

Read the Privacy Policy
Can I control what potential matches see about me?

Yes. You can review and edit your public profile and use the available visibility controls to choose what you share. Potential matches see the profile information you make public, rather than your private conversation transcript. Review your photos and profile details before participating in introductions.

Does Resona use my photos to understand me?

True Resonance includes AI-powered photo insights that can add context from visible details, such as activities or presentation, when AI processing is enabled. Photo insights are interpretations and can be inaccurate; they are not a definitive account of your personality. Photos you choose for your public profile can also be seen by potential matches.

Can I hide my profile or pause introductions?

You can manage your discovery visibility in your account settings, including pausing discovery. Review the description of each mode before choosing it. Changing discovery visibility is separate from deleting your account and does not erase information you have already shared with another person.
