True Resonance Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 25, 2026

True Resonance, Inc. (“True Resonance,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a corporation incorporated in the State of Delaware, United States.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share personal information when you use our websites, applications, AI conversations, matching features, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

We built True Resonance for conversations that can be personal. Our goal is to collect only what we need to provide the Service, keep private conversations private from other users, and give you meaningful control over what becomes visible on your profile.

1. Privacy at a glance

  • Your private conversations with Resona are not displayed to other users.
  • You decide what to share with Resona and what to place on your public profile.
  • Public profile information is controlled by you. We do not automatically publish your full conversation history.
  • We use your information to provide AI conversation, self-understanding, profile, and matching features.
  • We do not sell personal information for money.
  • We do not use private conversation content for third-party cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We use trusted service providers, such as cloud and AI providers, to operate the Service.
  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.

Please read the full Policy below for more detail.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in three main ways: information you provide, information generated as you use the Service, and basic technical information needed to keep the Service running.

2.1 Account information

When you create or manage an account, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Password or authentication credentials
  • Account identifiers
  • Account settings and preferences
  • Subscription or payment information, if paid features are introduced

Passwords are protected using authentication and security measures designed to prevent them from being stored in readable form.

2.2 Profile information you choose to provide

Depending on the features you use, you may choose to provide profile information such as:

  • Name or display name
  • Age
  • Gender and pronouns
  • Sexual orientation, if you choose to share it
  • City or general location
  • Photos
  • Work, education, interests, routines, and lifestyle information
  • Relationship goals and preferences
  • Personal boundaries and dealbreakers
  • Self-written introductions and other profile content

Some basic information may be needed to create an account, support safety, or provide matching features. Other information is optional and can be provided, updated, or removed through available controls.

2.3 Conversations and voice content

We collect content you submit through conversations with Resona or other Service features, including:

  • Written messages
  • Voice recordings, if you choose to use voice features
  • Transcripts generated from voice recordings
  • Answers to onboarding questions and prompts
  • Feedback, corrections, and refinements you provide

Your conversations may include personal or sensitive topics. You are in control of what you choose to share with the Service. Your private conversations with Resona are used to provide your experience and are not shown to other users as conversation transcripts.

2.4 AI-generated insights and matching signals

True Resonance may analyze information you provide and generate working summaries or signals, such as:

  • Values, needs, and priorities
  • Communication and relationship preferences
  • Lifestyle and compatibility preferences
  • Boundaries and dealbreakers
  • Profile summaries and “Current Understanding” content
  • Match strategies and compatibility signals
  • High-level reasons two users may align or differ

These are probabilistic interpretations meant to support conversation, self-understanding, and matching. They may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are not clinical diagnoses, professional assessments, or objective facts.

2.5 Matching and interaction information

We may collect information about how you use matching and connection features, including:

  • Profiles viewed
  • Matches shown
  • Invitations sent, received, accepted, or declined
  • Connections and chat activity
  • Reports, blocks, and safety actions
  • Feedback about matches and recommendations

2.6 Device, technical, and usage information

We may automatically collect basic technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service, such as:

  • Approximate location derived from IP address
  • Browser and device type
  • Operating system
  • App version
  • Login times
  • Pages and features used
  • Crash reports and diagnostic information
  • Cookies, local storage, or similar identifiers

If you grant device-location permission, we may collect more accurate location information for location-based features. We do not collect precise device location unless you enable it.

2.7 Communications with us

If you contact support, report a concern, participate in research, or provide feedback, we collect the information contained in those communications.

3. Sensitive personal information

Because True Resonance is about relationships and compatibility, you may choose to share information that some laws consider sensitive, such as information about relationship goals, intimate life, sexual orientation, gender identity, health, family, beliefs, or life circumstances.

We do not require you to share more than you are comfortable sharing. When you choose to provide sensitive information, we use it to provide features you request, such as AI conversations, self-understanding tools, profile generation, and matching.

Where applicable law requires consent for processing sensitive information, we will rely on your consent or request any additional consent required. You may withdraw consent to optional processing or request deletion of your information. Some features may no longer function if the information required for them is removed.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Create, authenticate, and manage your account
  • Provide AI conversations with Resona
  • Build and update your private understanding profile
  • Generate self-discovery insights
  • Recommend potential matches
  • Explain possible compatibility and differences
  • Create and display profile information you choose to share
  • Enable invitations, connections, and messaging
  • Personalize the Service
  • Maintain continuity across conversations and devices
  • Respond to support and privacy requests
  • Detect fraud, abuse, harassment, and security threats
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and safety rules
  • Debug, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Conduct analytics, research, and product testing
  • Comply with legal obligations

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to analyze and improve the Service, provided that the information cannot reasonably be linked back to you.

We will not process personal information for a materially different purpose without providing notice and obtaining consent where required.

5. How AI processing works

True Resonance uses artificial intelligence to interpret information you provide and generate responses, summaries, inferences, recommendations, and matching signals.

To provide these features, content may be transmitted to service providers acting on our behalf, including AI, cloud infrastructure, database, monitoring, and related providers. We choose providers to help us operate the Service securely and reliably.

AI systems can make mistakes. Generated content may:

  • Misunderstand what you meant
  • Miss relevant context
  • Overstate or understate a preference
  • Produce an inaccurate inference
  • Recommend someone who is not suitable for you

You can correct or refine our understanding through conversation and available profile controls.

True Resonance does not use AI-generated output to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.

We use several AI service providers to help provide the Service. We do not authorize those providers to use private True Resonance content to train their general models unless we have expressly enabled that use and provided any notice or consent required by law. Some providers may temporarily process or retain content as needed to provide the service, maintain security, prevent abuse, or comply with law.

6. Information visible to other users

Your private conversations with Resona are not displayed to other users.

Other users may see information that you place on, approve for, or choose to send through the Service, such as:

  • Basic profile information you choose to display
  • Photos you upload for public display
  • About-me content you choose to share
  • Interests, relationship goals, or other profile details you designate as public
  • Messages or invitations you choose to send to another user

You control what appears on your public profile through available product controls. We do not intend to publish private conversation transcripts or highly sensitive details to other users without your action or approval.

Match explanations are designed to use high-level compatibility observations, not to reproduce private conversation text. If a match explanation or profile summary does not feel right, you can revise your profile, refine our understanding, or contact us where support is available.

7. When we disclose information

We disclose personal information only in the limited circumstances described below.

7.1 Service providers

  • Security and fraud-prevention providers

7.2 Other users

If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any notices, opt-out mechanisms, or consent choices required by law.

9. Data location and international processing

Our primary application servers are located in Oregon, United States.

Some information may also be processed or stored by service providers in other states or countries, depending on the infrastructure and AI services used to operate the Service.

Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to that jurisdiction's laws and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement agencies, or government authorities in accordance with applicable law.

10. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the Service
  • Maintain your account
  • Fulfill the purposes described in this Policy
  • Resolve disputes
  • Maintain security and prevent fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations

While your account is active, we generally retain information needed to maintain your profile, conversations, insights, connections, and matching experience.

When you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify personal information from active systems within 90 days, unless retention is reasonably necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, abuse investigations, or dispute resolution.

Information may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten through ordinary backup processes.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, authentication protections, logging, and restricted staff access.

No online service is completely secure, but protecting private relationship-related information is central to the Service. We limit access according to role and operational need, and we work to maintain safeguards appropriate for the sensitivity of the information.

Please use a strong, unique password and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete personal information

  • Withdraw consent to certain processing
  • Opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or qualifying automated profiling
  • Appeal a decision we make regarding a privacy request
  • Use an authorized agent where permitted
  • Exercise rights without unlawful discrimination

Even where a particular state privacy law does not apply, we may choose to honor reasonable access, correction, and deletion requests.

To submit a request, contact contact@trueresonance.com.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or contacting contact@trueresonance.com with the subject line “Privacy Request Appeal.”

13. Account deletion

You may request account deletion by contacting contact@trueresonance.com.

Deleting the app or closing the browser does not delete your account.

Account deletion may permanently remove your profile, conversations, insights, connections, and matching history, subject to the retention exceptions described above.

14. Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in
  • Remember preferences
  • Maintain security
  • Understand how the Service is used
  • Diagnose errors and improve performance

Where required, we will request consent before using optional analytics or advertising technologies.

15. Authorized access to private content

Private content is not broadly visible inside True Resonance. Authorized personnel may access private content only when reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide support requested by you
  • Investigate reports, abuse, fraud, or security incidents
  • Maintain and debug the Service
  • Comply with law
  • Protect the safety of users or others

Access is limited according to role and operational need.

16. Age requirement

True Resonance is intended only for adults aged 18 or older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has created an account, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

17. Third-party links and services

The Service may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
